Time Extended to Raise Financial Support

Hey everyone!

I just got some awesome news. I now have until may 15th to raise the financial support needed to go on this mission trip. This gives me 10 more days then I thought it had to be due! God is just awesome like that! The group I'm going with determined that it will now be $2500 total instead of just $1900. They pointed out some other costs I didn't think of. Food is expensive in Japan! I don't know if anyone is reading this stuff yet. So leave a comment if you are. I'll update this soon and let you know when I got plane tickets! Please continue to pray for me.

Accepted to do a Mission Trip In Japan

Hey all,

I found out last week that I got accepted to go to Japan on a Mission Trip. I created this blog to update you on the status of me going and lord willing, if I get to go, my status while I'm there!

Details:
  1. Who: Me serving at Christian Academy in Japan
  2. What: Helping with computers, technical related issues, etc.
  3. When: May 19th through June 21st 2009
  4. Where: Tokyo Japan
  5. Why: Ever since 5th grade, I've had an interest in Japan. It started out with the Saturday morning cartoons, and I thought to myself "Japan is so cool! They make awesome cartoons like Digimon!" I learned a few words and thought it was awesome. Then my older brother Dan took me out to Sushi in Middle school. It is now my favorite food. Early High school I got an interest in computers and technology, Japan is leader in awesome technologies and artificial intelligence research. I finally took a real Japanese language class Senior Year of high school and fell in love with the language and culture. I have taken another year in college and loving it.
Please pray for me for a couple things. First, that God will solidify my understanding of Japanese. Second, to raise $1,900 dollars in just a week.

You might be thinking "That's impossible! That's not going to happen in this economy." Well God said it himself "Is there anything too hard for the LORD?" - Genesis 18:14.
People often say "where there's a will there's a way" and at times will isn't enough.
But I say "Where God has a will there is always a way."

If you feel led to give a donation, I would super much appriciate it. Please pray about it! Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all your support is appriciated.

God Bless,

Brian de la Motte
